The Riviera Moment

The Moments You'll Talk About Long After You're Home

There's something special about the moments that stay with us — the ones that feel as though they were created just for you. Hidden behind closed doors, reserved for the fortunate few, and impossible to arrange in quite the same way alone.

New in 2028, Available on selected sailings, The Riviera Moment is an experience created exclusively for you, revealing a side of each destination that few travellers ever get to see.

A private concert in a centuries-old basilica, reserved solely for their guests. A historic wine estate, open just for you. Behind every Riviera Moment is the same idea: a moment that feels special, and memories that last a lifetime.

Have a look below at some example Riviera Moments.

House of Strauss - The Riviera Moment

Music is woven into Vienna's identity, and nowhere is that more evident than in the House of Strauss. It starts with a glass of the House's own rosé in the gilded Octagon Hall, then time to explore the story of the dynasty that turned the waltz into Vienna’s heartbeat. Then comes the moment the House was built for: taking your seats in the last original hall where every Strauss once performed, for music played exactly where it belongs. For this moment, check out the Blue Danube sailings.

Kloster Eberbach - The Riviera Moment

For nine centuries, Cistercian monks have coaxed some of Germany's finest wine from these Rheingau hillsides – and you'll taste the proof of it, glass by glass. Begin with a sparkling wine reception, followed by time to wander through the abbey, pausing along the way to sample wines shaped by nearly a millennium of practice. Then, you'll take your seat in the basilica, where centuries-old stone and soaring arches lend every note of our private concert a resonance found nowhere else in the valley. For this moment, check out the Rhine Cruise to Switzerland sailings.

Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny - The Riviera Moment

Monet spent the last forty years trying to capture the light of Giverny. In the museum, a private talk sets the scene, exploring the Impressionist artists and ideas, before you step into the exhibition and museum garden – a living palette of colour laid out on the very spot where Monet painted his celebrated Haystacks. From there, make your way to a local restaurant, kept just for you, for drinks and canapés. It's an experience that brings the story of Impressionism vividly to life, surrounded by the landscape that inspired it. For this moment, check out the Seine, Paris and Normandy sailings.
