CroisiEurope's Camargue, a 148-passenger vessel based on the Rhône and Saône, two of some of the most well known European rivers.

At 360 feet long, Camargue is the smaller version of CroisiEurope's other three-deck European ships. However, instead of providing the same ratio of cabins in relation to the size, the line has reduced the number of staterooms on Camargue to provide more spacious public areas.

There are 76 cabins, which are situated on the main and upper decks. They all have floor-to-ceiling picture windows and include wide-screen TVs, hair dryers, safes and air-conditioning.

In addition to the two cabin decks, there's also a sun deck, and other public areas include a panoramic lounge and bar.

CroisiEurope places a lot of emphasis on its French heritage, and meals onboard are inspired by France's culinary tradition. Three-course lunches and dinners feature many of the country's classic dishes. Alain Bohn, the company's head chef, is a member of the gastronomic culinary association Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, which champions French food and drink.

CroisiEurope has introduced an all-inclusive "open bar," and fares now include complimentary drinks from the bar in addition mineral water, fruit juice and coffee during the day and house wine, beer and drinks with meals. It excludes Champagne and drinks on the wine list.

Best for...

Cruisers looking for good value for money.

Not the best for...

Anyone with an aversion to French culture and cuisine.

Who goes on CroisiEurope cruise ships?

The majority of CroisiEurope's clientele is European, with a large percentage of passengers being French. Many sailings also have an increasing number of North Americans, Australians and Brits. Most cruisers are over 50, but during the summer months, you can expect to see more families.

Do I have to dress up on a CroisiEurope cruise?

Not too much. Ships have a relaxed, continental atmosphere with no set dress code. By day passengers dress casually, with some keeping to similar apparel in the evening and others putting on smarter casual wear. The weekly gala dinner does see people dress it up, but never in formal wear.

Is everything included on CroisiEurope cruises?

All fares cover meals, Wi-Fi and a selection of wine with lunch and dinner, as well as an open bar that includes all beverages, barring a small number of premium brands and Champagne.

What are CroisiEurope's most popular activities?

Shore excursions are the no. 1 activity for CroisiEurope passengers who can choose from classic choices and discovery options that offer out-of-the-ordinary experiences. Onboard, passengers enjoy a livelier atmosphere than many other riverboats, with quizzes, games, evening entertainment and late-night dancing.

From Burgundy to the Camargue along the Saône and the Rhône rivers

From Burgundy to the Camargue along the Saône and the Rhône rivers

History and authenticity will be on the program throughout your cruise on the Rhône. You will discover cities with rich historical and cultural pasts such as Lyon with its famous 'traboules' - secret passages. Visit the Cluny Abbey, which has had an exceptional political, artistic and religious influence on Europe, then admire the castle of Tournon which stands upright on its majestic rock in the heart of the town and houses a museum labelled "Museum of France" since 1927.

Rhone Princess

The MS Rhône Princess is an intimate-sized standard ship, measuring 110 meters long and 11,40 meters wide. It can accommodate 138 passengers, in 69 cabins spread over two decks. Each of them, comfortable and spacious, offers amenities and provides guests with all the comforts they need during their stay. The warm orange tones of the decoration, as well as the golden woodwork and ceilings, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Camargue

Inaugurated in 2015, this river ship with a bright and spacious interior joined CroisiEurope's fleet of Premium rated ships. The stylish interior is a perfect match to the plants and wildlife in the Camargue region. Pastel pinks are contrasting with cool tones of yellow and few touches of white, forming one balanced visual effect that appeals to the eye and which delivers a feeling of cosiness.
